The Search Begins
A google search didn't help Yolinda in her quest to find her purpose. It gave her suggestions like practicing gratitude and being part of a community. Or brought up topics like finding your purpose as a woman, as a man, as an 'older person' etc, but didn't tell her where the damn thing was.
She needed to widen her search. She grabbed a gluten free snack bar and wandered out into the garden.
"If I was a lost purpose where would I go?'" she thought as she munched on the snack bar. "Would I hide somewhere or explore? Would I seek out wisdom or go on a silent pilgrimage? Why am I eating a gluten free snack?"
She went back inside to ask Deb the all important question of exactly when did they start stocking gluten free, nut free, taste free snacks in the pantry but she was nowhere to be seen. There was, however, coffee machine carnage on the kitchen floor. Deb had obviously abandonded her purpose.
Yolinda sighed and gave the dog the remains of the snack bar. The dog immediately jumped up on the couch and hid it under a cushion.
She sighed again, picked up her bag, sunglasses, phone, house keys and some mints to take away the taste of the taste free snack bar and walked out the door.
"I'm not coming back until I find the damn thing", she said to herself.
To be continued...

Purpose is as simple as giving dogs scratches behind the ears.
